The Business and Technology Growth Center (TGC) at University Town Center (UTC) is a public/private incubator formed by UTC, the University of Maryland Technology Advancement Program (TAP) and the Prince George's County Economic Development Corporation.  Its mission is to provide a place in which new high-tech companies can obtain the support they need in order to flourish.  In addition to its mission to provide a high-tech haven for up and coming businesses, TGC is designed to stimulate economic growth within the City of Hyattsville, Prince George's County and the State of Maryland.  The companies entering TGC agree to remain in Maryland and Prince George's County for a specified period of time.  They are also encouraged to seek new employees, especially county residents, through the Workforce Development Partnership.
